Pro-Wike lawmakers give first reading to Commission of Inquiry bill

The Martin Amaewhule-led Rivers State House of Assembly has given the first reading to the Rivers State Commissions of Inquiry Bill, 2024, at its 69th legislative sitting.

The bill, sponsored by Deputy Speaker, Dumle Maol, Lolo Opuende, and Sylvanus Nwankwo, seeks to repeal the Commissions of Inquiry Law, CAP 30, Laws of Rivers State, 1999, and re-enact the Rivers State Commissions of Inquiry Law.
