Abia Security Outfit Launches Campaign On Emergency System

Abia State Homeland Security has launched a statewide campaign on the government’s tripod emergency system through a walk show in Umuahia, the capital.

After the show, the senior special assistant to the governor on Homeland Security, Fire, and Medical Emergencies, Chukwunenye Alajimba noted the need for the system.

Alajimba words: “The system integrates security, medical, and fire services designed to enhance life -serving emergencies across the state.

He asserted that the paramedics are trained and certified, while there are plans to train both the fire service and security personnel to enhance their efficiency.

“Ambulances have been strategically stationed in Umuahia, Aba, and Ohafia for emergencies. Patrol vans will be sent to rural communities for emergency calls.”

Alajimba, who said similar shows will be organised in Aba, Ohafia, and across the 17 local governments areas, maintained that the system can stand the test of time.

Calling on both well-meaning individuals and business organisations to partner the state in the system, added “in case of emergency, the residents should call 08133556900.”
