Climate Change, Logistics Issues Fuelling Global Food Price Hike- FAO

The global food import bill is expected to increase by 2.2 per cent from the previous year to over $2tn in 2024, according to a report by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) released Thursday.

The FAO attributed the increase to higher prices for cocoa, coffee, and tea, accompanied by higher import costs for fruits and vegetables.
