Social media users have been unanimous in condemning an Abuja-based Bolt driver, Stephen Abuwatseya, who was assaulted by the House of Representatives member representing ABA South/North, Hon. Alex Ikwechegh, a few weeks ago.
The case which was brought to public knowledge by social activist, Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan or VDM, had caused a lot of public outrage which led to human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, dragging the lawmaker to court.
The House of Reps also weighed in on the matter and summoned their member to answer questions on the attack on the driver. The then sober Ikwechegh had tendered a public apology to the driver and Nigerians, saying he was embarrassed by his actions and regretted them.
