Shehu Sani makes case for Northern govs to accept Tinubu’s tax reform bill

Former senator who represented Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has called on Northern governors to accept the tax reform bill presented by President Bola Tinubu and make inputs where necessary instead of raising stiff opposition against the bill.

Sani who reacted to the recent rejection of the bill by the Northern Governors’ Forum (NGF), argued that the bill will not impact negatively on the North or any part of the country but will rather be economically beneficial and fair to all the regions of the country.

Baring his mind on his verified X handle @ShehuSani on Wednesday night, the lawmaker urged the Northern governors to put aside sentiments and read the bill thoroughly, noting that the bill is a comprehensive and bold move to harmonize, simplify tax administration and streamline its operations and enforcement.
