The Court of Appeal, Abuja, on Monday, acquitted a former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, of a false asset declaration charge.
Onnoghen was convicted for false asset declaration by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) on April 18, 2019.
He was later asked to proceed on retirement by former President Muhammadu Buhari following the recommendation of the National Judicial Council (NJC).
