The Italian was speaking in a pre-match press conference where he was asked about Enzo Fernandez’s place in the team as the 2024/25 season progresses in the Premier League. According to him, the Argentine gives something different from what the duo of Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo brings to the team.
“I still trust Enzo Fernandez, there’s no reason I can lose confidence on him. He’s gonna play many games for sure. The reason he isn’t playing in the Premier League is because I made a different decision. My confidence is 100% with Enzo.”
