Justice Simon Amobeda of the Federal High Court, Kano, on Friday nullified the nomination of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) chairmanship and councillorship candidates for Saturday’s election in the 44 local government areas of the state.
The judge delivered the ruling in a suit filed by a faction of NNPP against the party leadership.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC), the Inspector-General of Police and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) were listed as respondents in the suit.
