The Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Council, Dr. Lucky Avweromre, officially launched the Integrated Measles Campaign over the week at the Otu-Jeremi Primary Health Care Centre. The initiative aims to significantly reduce morbidity and mortality rates among children aged 0-5 years through comprehensive vaccination efforts.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Avweromre welcomed community leaders, health workers, mothers, and young children, emphasizing the campaign’s commitment to safeguarding the health of the region’s youngest residents. “This ceremony signifies our dedication to ensuring that every eligible child receives vital vaccinations during this integrated campaign, where all necessary antigens will be provided,” he stated.
