Former Kano Gov Shekarau criticizes EFCC’s operational methods

Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, former Kano State governor, on Monday, criticized the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) during an interview on Channels TV’s “Sunrise Daily.”

“The EFCC should not behave like typical security guards, hiding and waiting to arrest offenders. This approach won’t solve corruption. They must change tactics,” Shekarau urged.

He also cited the Yahaya Bello incident, saying, “The recent drama between EFCC and Kogi’s former governor is embarrassing. It showcases the commission’s inefficiency.”
