Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar A. Namadi, has suspended his Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwalu Dalladi Sankara, following allegations of adultery.
The governor has also constituted a five-member panel of investigation into the arrest of Sankara and his supposed involvement in the act of adultery.
The investigative committee will be chaired by the Secretary to the Government, with the following members: the Honorable Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture; the Honorable Commissioner for Basic Education, Lawal Yunusa Danzomo; the Special Adviser on Security Matters; and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, who will serve as the secretary of the committee.
The committee has been given two weeks to submit its report on the investigation.
