Akpabio dismisses reports on planned impeachment of Senate principal officers

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has dismissed reports on the planned impeachment of principal officers of the Red Chamber.

Reports emerged on social media on Tuesday that the Department of States Service (DSS) operatives had been deployed to the National Assembly over a planned impeachment of the Senate senior officials.

Akpabio, who spoke at Wednesday’s plenary in Abuja, urged Nigerians to disregard the fake news.
