Fubara caused Rivers violence by disregarding court order – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday blamed the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, for the crisis in the state.

The minister, who featured in a Channels Television’s programme, Politics Today, said the governor caused violence in the state for defying a court order stopping last weekend’s local government election in the state.

The former Rivers State governor spoke just 24 hours after Fubara appealed to him to allow peace to reign in the oil-rich state.
