Nigeria’s U-17 Women’s coach, Olowookere Bankole, has promised Nigerians that the team will make the country proud at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
The competition is billed to start from October 16 to November 3, and Nigeria has been paired with hosts, Dominican Republic, New Zealand, and Ecuador.
The Flamingoes will begin their campaign against New Zealand on October 16th at the Cibao Stadium.
Olowookere has urged Nigerians to keep faith in the team as they aim to make history in the competition.
He said: “All the units of the team from goalkeepers, attackers, defenders, midfielders, strikers; everyone has been passing through rigorous training.
“We don’t want to leave any stone untouched we have been training daily to correct all the lapses observed in the last edition of the championship.
