In a surprising turn of events, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has lost his local government area, Oredo Local Government Area, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the governorship election.
According to the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday in Benin City, the state capital, the APC candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, emerged victorious with a total of 30,780 votes.
