Nigeria confirms 128% rise in cholera cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) said on Wednesday the country has witnessed a 128 percent rise in cholera cases.

In a post on its website, the agency said Lagos state accounted for 60 percent of all cases, with Lagos Island the most affected local government area.

It added that the death toll had also increased by 106 percent with 204 fatalities in 2024.
