Up until last Tuesday, the campaign of the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Edo State, Barrister Olumide Akpata, was in the woods. Much was expected of Akpata having led the Nigerian Bar Association in what many, including colleagues in the profession, declared was a success.
That has now changed with the entry of the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election Peter Obi, whose appearance at Akpata’s campaign has become the talk of the town.
