Thirty-three-year-old Ugandan marathon runner, Rebecca Cheptegei, who competed at the recent Paris Olympics, is in critical condition at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya, after being set on fire by her former boyfriend, Dickson Ndiema Marangach.
According to reports, Marangach doused Cheptegei in petrol and set her alight, causing severe burns covering over 75 per cent of her body.
