A boat accident occurred on Saturday in the Zindiwa River, located in the Gamawa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, leaving no fewer than three people missing.
Seven others were rescued from the capsized vessel, the African Independent Television reported.
The incident took place around 4 PM as the boat, carrying 10 passengers, attempted to cross the river. Due to recent flooding, the river had become a vital alternative route for residents.
Rescue teams from a nearby village responded promptly, saving seven individuals. However, despite extensive search efforts, three people remain missing.
