SERAP Sues Akpabio, Abbas Over Failure To Account For Lawmakers’ N21m Monthly Running Costs

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has sued the Senate President, Mr Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of House of Representatives, Mr Tajudeen Abbas, over failure to account for the monthly running costs paid to members of the National Assembly.

The group filed the suit against the National Assembly officers for “the failure to end the apparently unlawful practice by the National Assembly of fixing its allowances and running costs, and the failure to account for the monthly running costs paid to members.”
