The caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Chief Tony Okocha, on Wednesday accused the governorship candidate of the party in the last election, Arc Tonye Cole, of playing anti-party politics against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 presidential elections.
Okocha emphasised that throughout the campaign season, Tinubu’s picture was missing in Cole’s billboards, banners and posters as a presidential candidate of the APC.
In reaction to Cole’s statement that Okocha was a member of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike’s family, and therefore cannot speak for the Rivers state APC, the caretaker chairman, in a statement opened up on those who secretly supported the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, though they were still in APC.
