“This is the best Cyriel I’ve seen” – Rangers’ head coach Philippe Clement heaps praise on Super Eagles following Ross County brace

Rangers head coach, Philippe Clement, has heaped praise on Super Eagles forward, Cyriel Kolawole Dessers, for his outstanding display in his side’s 6-nil win over Ross County, Soccernet.ng reports.

The former Cremonese man continued his good start to the season with a double against Ross County yesterday, putting in a decent shift in his 66 minutes on the pitch, taking his goal tally to five in all competition for the Gers this season.

Speaking after the game, Coach Clement praised the effort put in by the Nigerian centre-forward to become a better player and said he was glad the striker was reaping the dividends of his labour.

“I am very glad about that with, for example the two goals of Cyriel [Dessers], I think it is a big difference from six months ago the way he runs now, how he finds the spaces. It is difficult to take two players out to give credit towards that because they’re a lot of players making a good evolution in the last couple of months and we need to continue in that way and keep this hunger and desire to become better. Cyriel deserves it, he is doing a very good job. This is the best Cyriel that I have seen in his career. He is not 20 years old anymore, but he stays hungry to learn all the details, and you see in several details he is becoming better and better by doing it and by watching the videos and talking about it,” the Belgian manager said in quotes revealed by Rangers official website.

Rangers will be hoping Dessers continues his form in the Old Firm Derby next weekend when they face their fierce rivals, Celtic.
