Rescued medical students meet IGP Egbetokun in Abuja

The 20 medical students who were freed after nine days in captivity met with Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Sunday evening.

The students, from the Universities of Jos and Maiduguri, were abducted in Benue State while traveling to Enugu for a conference. They arrived at the Force Headquarters at approximately 5:35 p.m. on Sunday, accompanied by their Vice-Chancellors.

The meeting had the IGP, the Vice-Chancellors, as well as Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, Benneth Igweh, and his counterpart from Benue State in attendance.
