The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) on Sunday explained why the 17.64% of the insured depositors of defunct Heritage Bank have not
been paid.
In a statement issued by its spokesman, Bashir Nuhu, the NDIC said the depositors have not been paid because they have post no debits (PND) instructions or have no Bank Verification Numbers (BVN) on their accounts.
The commission added that 82.36% of the total insured depositors of the liquidated bank have been reimbursed since the revocation of the bank’s licence by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on June 3.
