A 30-year-old woman named Hauwa Yusuf was arrested by the Special Tactical Squad (STS) for concealing an AK-47 rifle and four magazines inside a sack of garri. The arrest occurred during a stop-and-search operation along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
According to police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi, Yusuf confessed that she was sent by a notorious bandit named Aminu Basullube, who has been causing trouble in Katsina State.
Yusuf was on her way from Lafia, Nasarawa State, to Katsina State when she was intercepted by the STS operatives on August 14, 2024.
