The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Bauchi State Chapter has expressed its deep disappointment and loss of confidence in the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC) ahead of the local government elections scheduled for tomorrow, August 17, 2024.
In a statement signed by Hon. Abdulazeez Haruna, State Secretary of the PRP Bauchi State Chapter, the party alleged that BASIEC has shown “glaring insincerity, lack of commitment, and apparent bias” towards the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“We are concerned that BASIEC appears to be dancing to the tune of the PDP, undermining the democratic process and compromising the integrity of the electoral institution,” Haruna said.
