Amnesty Int’l alleges over 1,000 #EndBadGovernance protesters kept in Nigeria’s prisons

Amnesty International on Friday alleged that more than 1,000 #EndBadGovernance protesters are being remanded in prisons across the country.

The protests put together by a group of Nigerians to express their displeasure over the hardship and other socio-economic challenges in the country turned violent in the North with several properties looted and destroyed by suspected thugs.

Several Nigerians and some foreign nationals were arrested by security agents for displaying Russian and other foreign flags in the demonstrations that took place from August 1-10 in Kano, Kaduna, and other states in the North.
