The father of 17-year-old soccer star Lamine Yamal, Mounir Nasraoui, was reportedly stabbed in a parking lot near Barcelona, according to several Spanish media outlets. He was transported to Trias i Pujol University Hospital with multiple injuries.
According to CBS Sports, Nasraoui’s condition is said to be serious but stable. Local residents mentioned that Nasraoui was approached by some individuals while walking his dog before the attack, according to La Vanguardia. Both the Spanish news agency EFE and La Vanguardia reported that the incident occurred in the Rocafonda neighbourhood, roughly 19 miles from Barcelona, as noted by ESPN.
