Spotted! William Troost-Ekong and Moss head to Saudi Arabia to complete Al-Khalood deal

Super Eagles vice-captain William Troost-Ekong, alongside his agent David Moss, has been spotted on his way to Saudi Arabia, where he is set to finalise a transfer to Al-Khalood from PAOK FC, Soccernet.ng reports.

Troost-Ekong, who joined PAOK FC during the 2023 summer transfer window on a three-year deal, has been the subject of intense interest from several Saudi clubs eager to secure his services before his contract with the Greek side expires.

The potential move, which has been in the pipeline for weeks, now seems imminent, with final negotiations poised to take place in the Saudi Arabia.

The transfer was further confirmed by an image of Troost-Ekong and Moss shared by renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano had earlier reported that the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Player of the Tournament had agreed to join Al-Khalood, with PAOK and the Saudi club reaching an agreement on the transfer fee.

Additionally, Troost-Ekong’s personal terms have been settled, paving the way for the final stages of the deal.

This recent development suggests that the official announcement could be made within hours, marking what could be the last major move in the career of the standout MVP of the 2023 AFCON tournament in Côte d’Ivoire.

Troost-Ekong’s stellar performances under Jose Peseiro at the tournament have undoubtedly captured the attention of Arabian clubs eager to bring him into their ranks.
