In pioneer move,Taraba govt unveils blueprint for LG autonomy

In a bid to revolutionize local government administration, the Advisory Committee on Financial Autonomy for Taraba State’s 16 local government areas has launched a groundbreaking blueprint.

The committee, chaired by Rt. Hon. Peter Diah, aims to create a model of efficiency and innovation that sets a new standard for local governance, paving the way for other states to follow.

During a sensitization exercise in Jalingo on Wednesday, the Taraba state capital, Diah emphasized the importance of financial independence for local governments, citing it as crucial for accelerated grassroots development. The blueprint focuses on boosting internal revenue generation, efficient resource management, and community engagement.
