In the first Preliminary Round of the race, Rosemary finished in 3rd place with a time of 11.26s, behind Dina Asher-Smith of the United States who came in 2nd with a time of 11.01s. The race was won by Ewa Swoboda of Poland with a Season’s Best time of 10.99s.

Rosemary’s performance places her among the three African women aiming to advance to the final, along with Marie Josee-Ta Lou from Ivory Coast (10.87s) and Gina Bass from Gambia (11.01s).
