In a renewed effort to combat crude oil theft and economic sabotage in the Niger Delta region, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its air operations, targeting illegal refining sites and canoes loaded with stolen oil products.
According to a press statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information,Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, On July 18, 2024, the Air Component of Operation Delta Safe conducted reconnaissance missions along Kolo Creek and Soku-Sambarth trunklines in Rivers State.
