Nigeria’s Federal Government and organised labour on Thursday rose from a meeting on the contentious national minimum wage and settled for N70,000 as new minimum wage for Nigerian worker.
The meeting, the second within seven days, held at the instance of President Bola Tinubu, at the State House, Abuja, had in attendance representatives of both the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress led by their respective Presidents, Comrades Joe Ajaero and Festus Osifo.
