CJN vows to crack down on ‘errant’ judges as conflicting court orders plague judiciary

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Olukayode Ariwoola, has launched a scathing attack on the issuance of conflicting court orders, calling it an “unpalatable cocktail” that “mocks” the justice system.

Speaking shortly after he inaugurated 22 judges into the Court of Appeal Bench, the CJN, lamented that the avalanche of frivolous interlocutory orders emanating from the various courts, have continued to make a mockery of the judicial system.

Ariwoola further vowed to take action against “errant judges” responsible for such rulings.
