In a bid to arrest the soaring cost of food items, the federal government has announced the suspension of duties, tariffs and taxes on imported food commodities.
This development was announced in a statement on Monday, by Abubakar Kyari, Minister Of Agriculture And Food Security.
He averred that duties, tariffs and taxes on imported maize, husked brown rice, wheat and cowpeas — through land and sea borders — will be suspended.
