Inter Milan’s striker, Lautaro Martinez scored two second-half goals to help Argentina beat Peru 2-0 at the 2024 Copa America as they finished top of Group A, the result knocked Peru out of the tournament.
Martinez scored the first goal in the 47th minute, chipping the ball over Peru’s goalkeeper Pedro Gallese, and scored the second in the 86th minute, in the same way he scored the first. These two goals took Martinez’s goal record in the 2024 Copa America to four goals and his ninth in the history of the competition across 13 games.
