Following the foiled attempt by some unscrupulous individuals to detonate an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the Hotel Presidential, a five-star hotel in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has accused his detractors, saying the failed attempt was a deliberate ploy to strengthen the call for a state of emergency because they want to undermine the state to achieve their evil plans.
The Governor made the assertion when he received a delegation of the Senate Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation, led by its Chairman, Senator Orji Uzo Kalu, to Government House in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
