Premier League clubs take final decision on VAR ahead of next season

The decision was taken when the clubs met at the Premier League’s Annual General Meeting which was held today, Thursday, June 6, 2024. 19 clubs voted in favour of using the technology while the only club against the VAR were Wolves.

West Midlands side have also listed several reasons as to why they have submitted the proposal, which range from the impact on goal celebrations to ‘diminished accountability of on-field officials.
