Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, has awarded N10 million to Olaniyi Olawale, the overall best graduating student at Lagos State University (LASU).
The Governor announced this today, June 6, 2024, during the university’s 27th convocation ceremony in Lagos State, Nigeria.
Olaniyi Olawale, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.98 in Accounting Education, was given the gift in appreciation for his exceptional academic success, according to a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) from the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril Gawat.
The post read, “FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr #jidesanwoolu has announced a token of N110m for the overall best-graduating student of Lagos State University (#LASUOfficial), Olaniyi Mubaraq Olawale, Accounting Education, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.98”
“Mr Governor made this announcement today at the Lagos State University (LASU) Grand Finale of the 27th Convocation Ceremony.”
