Nigerian United States Of America (U.S.A)-based cleric, Rev. Fr V. C Mubekwu, has lamented that Nigeria is still swimming in the river of corruption despite the growing number of churches and other places of worship.

Speaking at a Thanksgiving Mass in honour of the late 13th Asagba of Asaba, HRM Prof. Joseph Chike Edozien, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Asaba, Delta State, the cleric said that it is sad that corruption is now part of the country to the extent that everyone does things contrary to the will of God.

He said that it is good for Nigerians to be good ambassadors of God, regretting that the things happening in the country today are terrible, as everybody is cheating in the system, which is not good enough for the image of the country.
