Gov. Peter Mbah of Enugu State says his administration has cleared all the verified backlog of pensions and gratuities due for retirees in the state.
The governor disclosed this during his statewide broadcast to mark his one year in office on Wednesday in Enugu.
He said that since his assumption of office, his administration has paid considerable attention to the twin-issues of pensions and gratuities.
According to him, our senior citizens deserve their due reward when they retire, having devoted a great percentage of their lives to the state.
