APC, Pro-Wike PDP Members March For Tinubu

Members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and those of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, yesterday staged a one million-man march in support of President Bola Tinubu.

The solidarity march, which was held under the auspices of the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’, started from the popular Government Reservation Area (GRA) junction along Aba-Port Harcourt road, and terminated at the APC secretariat, also located along Aba-Port Harcourt road in Rumuomasi axis of Port Harcourt.

Addressing the protesters at the APC secretariat, the caretaker committee chairman of the party in the state, Chief Tony Okocha, accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of ethicizing governance in the state.
Okocha said: “By his body language, his speeches, he is leading Rivers State to anarchy. We describe Rivers State as a bull driving into the China’s shop.

“Rivers State was earning in this country; people came to occupy space because there was relative peace. Today, agencies, companies, industries are leaving Rivers State in droves because of fear of the unknown. Because of a man who has shown that he is clueless.

“He has ethnicised Rivers State; he no longer sees Rivers State; he sees his ethnic nation. Are we going to tolerate that? Rivers State has gone past the formula of riverine-upland dichotomy.”

In her solidarity speech, woman leader of the Bola Tinubu Support Group in Rivers State, Mrs Rita Jumbo, advised Fubara to stop dehumanizing women in the state.

Jumbo said, “Fubara should stop dehumanizing the women of Rivers State. We want to advice the governor to use his time to empower women and youths of Rivers State.”
