Salzburg confirmed the appointment of Pep Lijnders on its official website on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. According to reports, he signed a three-year deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2027.
The Dutchman decided to leave Liverpool alongside Jurgen Klopp, who announced his departure from the club at the end of this season (2023/24). Lijnders joined the Reds in 2014 and rose to the position of first-team development coach in 2015 before becoming an assistant manager to Brendan Rodgers, a position he retained when Jurgen Klopp joined in October 2015.
