Lateef Sanni, a professor and Executive Director, Nigerian Stored Produce Research Institute (NSPR), says the country needs about 300 cold chain hubs (storage facilities) to reduce post-harvest losses to the barest minimum.
Mr Sanni said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Lagos, South-west Nigeria.
He said the country recorded about 40 per cent post-harvest losses yearly, and that all hands must be on deck to reverse this trend by investing in storage facilities and cold chain hubs across the country.
