National Convention: Bauchi LP Refutes Claims Of 19 Northern States Chairmen

The Bauchi State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has dissociated itself from the stance of the forum of the 19 northern states and the FCT chairmen and secretaries of the party stating that the forum is non-existence.

Speaking with journalists on Friday, the acting chairman of the Labour Party in Bauchi State, Mohammed Aliyu said that the party has already held its national convention in Nnewi, Anambra State, on March 27, 2024 in which the new national leaders were elected.

Aliyu said, “The entire elected officials of Labour Party of Bauchi State and indeed the entire northern states’ executives wish to disclaim and refute the positions of some few individuals who masqueraded as leaders of the 19 northern states.

“We categorically say that they are not the executives of the 19 Northern States and especially their spokesperson was deposed from his position due to his anti-party activities when the party was battling to reclaim her stolen mandate.”

“The acclaimed persons are a group of treacherous people who worked against the party’s efforts in the time of need. Furthermore, they are political power mongers seeking for attention through such malicious and baseless claims in the name of the northern region.”
