‘Our brother is dying slowly, painfully,’ Kanu’s family claims in open letter to S’East govs

The family of detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has written an open letter to governors of South Eastern states asking them to intervene in his ongoing travails as he is purportedly dying slowly and painfully.

The letter which was written on behalf of the family by Kanu’s younger brother, Emmanuel, said it was unfortunate that under the watch of the governors, the Biafran agitator is being wrongfully held in custody against his will and his fundamental human rights violated for over three years.

Emmanuel argued that it was the duty of the governors of the five Igbo states to ensure the protection of every individual’s civil liberties, including that of Kanu, regardless of their beliefs or affiliations.
