A notorious bandit leader in the North West region of Nigeria, Dogo Gide, has been reported killed in a confrontation with Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) troops of the Nigerian Army.
Former presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, shared the news via his official X handle on Wednesday morning, stating that Gide succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained during the encounter with the military forces.
Gide, who was among Nigeria’s most wanted bandits, was notorious for his involvement in kidnapping and the deaths of numerous innocent villagers, as well as the displacement of many others in the North.
