The Non-Interest Fund (Fund VI), launched by the National Pension Commission (PenCom) in September 2021, has demonstrated remarkable growth, soaring to N54.27bn in pension assets. This sustained growth can be attributed primarily to its robust Operational Framework. Introduced as part of the Multi-Fund Investment Structure, Fund VI empowers pension contributors and retirees to select a fund that aligns with their investment preferences.
Since its inception, the Non-Interest Fund has garnered increased acceptance by pension contributors and retirees. While the Fund’s assets stood at N7.79bn in September 2021, the Fund has grown to N54.27bn by the end of January 2024, translating to an impressive leap of over 500 percent or N46.48bn over the period.
