Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, recently spoke about the team’s upcoming match against Manchester City in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Acknowledging that Manchester City is one of the best teams in Europe, Ancelotti expressed his thoughts during a press conference that was held to preview the upcoming La Liga match against Osasuna.
Although he was asked multiple questions about facing City for the third consecutive year, he confidently stated that City is “one of the favourites” to retain the title won in Istanbul last year. He acknowledged that it would be a tough match, but expressed his team’s willingness to take on the challenge. When asked about playing the return leg at the Etihad, where they suffered a 4-0 loss in the semifinals in 2022/2023 after a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu, Ancelotti was defiant in his response by stating that they don’t care.
