Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District of Anambra State, Ifeanyi Ubah said the implementation of the South East Development Commission programme would douse the ill-feelings of marginalisation in the geo-political zone.
In a statement yesterday Ubah commended the National Assembly for speedily passing the South East Development Bill and expressed great optimism that the bill would address the developmental challenges in the region.
He emphasised the need for the implementation of the targeted intervention as captured in the bill so as to promote economic growth, infrastructure development and social welfare of the people of the region as soon as the bill received the assent of President Bola Tinubu.
The federal lawmaker, who was full of gratitude to his colleagues in the Senate and House of Representatives for giving the bill accelerated hearing and passage immediately he introduced it in the National Assembly.
